Because they are associative, if the model is changed, or the section plane is updated, the 2D profiles are changed automatically to reflect those changes and all hatches and dimensions are updated accordingly. Architectural users will like intelligent, attribute-rich self-healing walls (a considerable improvement over the AutoCAD LT's double-line tool) and the range of other parametric windows, doors, slabs, roof, rails, and stairs that are ADT compatible. Apply relationships between two or more objects for accurate designs which can then be adjusted easily. Make a change to one object in a design, and constraints automatically update the drawing based on the user defined parameters. A host of special tools, like a Gear Contour, Surface Roughness, and Weld Symbol tool, add mechanical capabilities not found in AutoCAD LT. And compatibility with .SAT, .IGS, and .STEP files means DoubleCAD XT Pro is an excellent drafting companion to any mechanical design package.

DoubleCAD™ XT Pro is compatible with whatever you are using: We believe we have some of the best -- and broadest -- translators in the industry. .SAT, .3DS, .OBJ, .IGS... all the important ones are here, 28 in total.

This includes .DWG, as you would expect.
